You andyour team will be responsible for the production, localisation and adaption ofNational Clinical Practice Guidelines, Care Protocols/Pathways and Evidence ActionSets to meet the requirements of the client. This will be a highly visible rolewithin the group as a whole due to the start- up nature of this team.

 

Your role willbe to run the in-country operation with full P+L responsibility and manage a smallhighly qualified multi-disciplinary team effectively. In this hands-on role you
will have the opportunity to help shape the direction of the team, beingactively involved in all aspects of delivery covering numerous evidence ledguideline projects. Working in a client facing, committee based and aculturally challenging environment, key areas of the role include:

 

ROLE

 

  • Clientstakeholder engagement at Head of Department level, you will build trust andworking relationships with local medical staff often working in a committee
    environment to make decisions. Getting local buy in and being culturally
    sensitive is a key challenge of this role.

 

  • This isa hands-on, practical position as you will add significant input into the
    guidelines, reading/writing/editing them and fully understanding their
    production. It is envisaged this will occupy about 20% of your time.

 

  • Managethe team effectively with full P+L responsibility for the Saudi operation.
    Ensure the effectively delivery of the clinical guidelines in a multiple
    project environment.

 

 

 

PERSON

  • Highlyqualified with a relative medical degree/qualifications coupled with 5 years+experience post qualifications in the health/medical sectors.

 

  • Provenexperience of delivering quality results in any of the following areas;
    Guideline Development, Guideline Adaption, Care Pathways or Clinical GovernancePrograms. Experience of the NHS or training/learning development areas would beuseful.

 

  • Strongleadership and man management ability is required coupled with excellentstakeholder management skills gained in a committee decision making type ofenvironment. He/she will be used to delivering outcomes in a committee
    environment.

 

  • Abilityto write/edit effectively, practical type with a delivery focus, a hands-on
    doer, able to make decisions, use initiative and work effectively in a remote

digital service as it replaces print as the key source of trusted information to the marketplace. Role

  • Create and deliver the vision for the new online/mobile information service covering all aspects such as positioning, content, functionality and the look and feel of the service. Take ownership of this significant business change management project.
  • Identify/develop increased revenue opportunities for the new service; provide commercial leadership/nous to deliver real return on investment.
  • Lead a team of highly qualified content specialists/journalists to ensure accurate, high quality and timely content is produced on a daily basis. You will be expected to add to the content from time to time in order to be credible with

  • Provide the business leadership to deliver the change required to ensure the success of the new digital service by establishing an effective “digital first” approach.

 

Person

  • Will have led/driven/implemented a successful business change from a print led model to a digital/online focussed business. You will have re-launched a print based business and made a commercial success of the new online services.
  • Experience of providing strong leadership/management of a journalist team being able to manage highly qualified journalists/specialists effectively. He/she will be credible in managing content driven teams with a high degree of gravitas.
  • Candidate will have successfully lead teams to deliver an online/mobile service in the past, comfortable in pulling resources together to make things happen with proven implementation/delivery skills. Experience of managing in a STM
    (science, technology, medical) environment would be an advantage.
  • Solid commercial ability is required; candidate will be able to demonstrate their success in an online business in the areas of e-commerce, advertising, subscriptions etc. He/she must be able to demonstrate how they have made a commercial success of a digital led information service.
